CA 1981 Craig, Mom and Dad came to Florida for a visit coinciding with recently discovered terrible hull condition of Brother's 1925 Alden Albatross Schooner. With 3 other friends, Craig was immediately pressed into fixing the hull. Dad got two motel rooms nearby and Craig stayed with me and my friends in one room partaking equally in the work during the day, and evening conversations with us, much older men-of-the-world 🙄 As a kid, Craig had a knack of seamlessly fitting in with people much older than he was. As an adult he had a knack of fitting in with kids. (See other posts.) Craig was all ages at all times! I guess that means he was and old soul. But despite this scary insight into the underbelly of sailboats, his soul was not inoculated against the dreaded sailboat love-sickness.

So true! Great story and photos I hadn't seen before.
